One heard flying over today. Nearby, it was nice to see a couple of pairs Lapwings.

Pair on the lake today. A House Martin, Swallow and 7 Sand Martin were feeding high over the lake. Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff were herd singing in various locations around the lake.

One seen late this evening, hunting along the top road between Llanbadarn Fynydd and Dolfor.

Female feeding in the garden today, with increased numbers of Goldfinch, Siskin, Greenfinch and Chaffinch.
Also seen today in crossgates were 2 (possibly 3) Peregrine, 2 Mandarin and 60+ Redwing.
Golden Plover @ Nantmel
1 seen this evening (first I’ve ever seen here), also Meadow Pipit, Skylark, Barn Owl, Snipe and 12 Woodcock.
Great Egret @ Pwll Patti
1 today in flooded fields just west of the reserve, also 22 Little Egret present.
Elsewhere, 16 Lapwing were at Rhosgoch, a Woodcock was on Ireland Moor and a Sparrowhawk was near Erwood station.
Pochard @ Llanbwchlyn Lake
Single male on the lake this morning. Not much else on the lake, just 7 coot, 3 Cormorant and 4 Goosander.
Further south, 23 Little Egret were feeding in a sheep field just west of Pwll Patti, 13 Lapwing and 2 Snipe were at Rhosgoch and a very small Merlin shot across the road near Llanstephan.

At least 2 with large flock of siskins feeding on pine cones, also goshawk over.

2 present today, along with several teal, wigeon and mallard. 14 little egrets were feeding together in a nearby sheep field.

20+ still flying around the town this morning (there were 50+ last week). 2 kingfishers and a grey wagtail were also seen on the river last week.

Since last week, a female Tufted Duck has taken up residence at the golf course on one of the ponds. Probably displaced during the rough weather.

At least 3 territories this morning. Also of note were 3 singing Wood Warblers, a male Cuckoo, 1 Tree Pipit, 20+ pairs of Pied Flycatcher, numerous Garden Warbler, Willow Warbler and Redstart, 3 Hare, 1 Fox and 1 Roe Deer!

One on the golf course this morning, also Swift and Curlew over. A drake Mandarin was on the lake.

3 at Park Crescent today.
Other recent sightings have included 4 Golden Plover at Bwlch y Sarnau on the 16th and 29 at Llanbadarn Fynydd on the 12th, a Jack Snipe was also seen then. Swallows seem to be scattered around everywhere now in small numbers, as do Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs. On overcast evenings, Sand Martin numbers have reach triple figures on multiple occasions at Llandod lake, and on the 11th A Firecrest was heard singing near Llandod golf course, but sadly not heard or seen since.

One singing at the golf course today, also 20+ Fieldfare and a single Redwing still.
Other recent observations in Rhosgoch include Barn Owl, Peregrine, Lapwing, Curlew, Snipe and Green Woodpecker.
A male Redstart was reported yesterday between Painscastle and Erwood station.
