Wheatear pair.

Managed to get a pair together for a change….. been trying for years…. and the usual …without long lens and at 8.00 pm in the evening they perform  “Not the best “……On our Sunday morning constitutional up to the cairn and back through Gorse farm estate …Heard and saw 4 garden warblers in the scrub below Golf club they were out doing the Blackcaps with their song..heard and sighted at least 15 red starts…. Numerous willow, chiff chaff and a couple of wood warblers…. Nearing the lake where doddie hangs out.. sighted and heard a green wood pecker…and on the way back in the Rock park near old county school field two male pieds fly singing their heads off trying to out do each other ….and sighted and heard my first spotties this year …usual place down near the free chalybeate spring Rock Park.
