Seven lapwing

On the MWT reserve Coed Dinas just outside Welshpool—very close to bird hide—with low light on the such beautiful plumage, greens and mauves–so striking 🙂

Whilst we may welcome little egrets, avocet resurgence isn`t the  almost complete loss / extinction in Radnor such a tragedy ?? what has happened ??

  1. Pleased you enjoyed the Lapwing at Llyn Coed y Dinas. They are fairly regular visitors to the reserve and I am surprised they are a rarity in Radnorshire, it maybe the higher ground levels you have.

  2. +++1 and silage crops rather than hay in july methinks; lapwing in Wales in general are suffering a catastrophic decline 😦 😦
