Fieldfare @Strange happening on the lake.

 

Managed to catch up with this handsome winter visitor at Brynhir Howey ….This time with no interruptions from a blue 4×4 coming down the narrow lanes forcing me to pullover into a ploughed fied or there abouts… Nice one Kev !!! . And nice to see you.On the lake this A.M our young Grebes pretty certain to be this years brood , that have been sulking by the margins of the lake Island for weeks suddenly went into a full bloomed mating display.. Head shaking, posturing and to crown it all the Penguin dance… Is this a normal practice by First year young grebes …Seems extremely odd behaviour… I realise the seasons have been upset by weather inclemency but…..Unfortunatley I was a bit slow with the camera to get the penguin display but manged to get a heavily cropped pic of the head shaking…. To coin a phrase from Victor… “I  didn’t believe it”.
