Elan.

In the rain!!! While Andy  enjoyed bumper weather and views unprecedented, (He didn’t even try!!! Is that called taking the Pee? ) , it was back to  reality today! As in one Whinchat, one fem Stonechat and no Reed Bunts. Still , there were 3 Curlews around and a family of Mistle thrushes, plus a fem Redstart -all above Craig Goch and Pont ar Elan. The Swallows were hunting beneath the Beech trees as that’s where the flies were sheltering in the rain. A pair of Goosanders flew over and I was treated to a bumup view of a Sandpiper at Pont ar Elan! A family of Wheatears just past the Pont in the mini quarry.

As L’dod basked in dry I was weltered with wind and rain-on plus side : it was warm! WOW!
