Llandod Lake

(via Nigel Starnes) Quick walk around the lake at 16:15 Sunday 12 Feb.

Pair of Tufted Duck 

c.14 Goosander – males looking very smart now, with a noticeable salmon flush .

Water Rail – seen very briefly as it flew out of the reeds – around the viewing point (the one with the hole in the middle) and back into the reeds again.

GBB Gull – single juvenile seen briefly at rest in the middle of the lake .

    A small toad was also hopping about on Llandod golf course, is it that time already or was it confused?
