Waxwings 2 This AM.

I went up to the old school about 10 am and no sign of the birds…returned at 11 .15 and found them in an ash tree in the old school flats near junction for Alexander Road …they were swooping down and feeding on rose hips…I filled my boots, although raining using the car as a hide.  went up the lake found my wife Joy, drove back with Joy, but the birds had gone ( about 12.00 noon) that would tie up with Paul’s sighting up the Ridgebourne later._j8a1111

  5. Cheers Martin, colour coordination can be such a trial!,,, yes we did look for you but to no avail ….seasons greetings…and if I don’t see you before the big departure…Bon voyage….and keep in touch via email.

  6. Cheers folks…..Happy New year to you all.

  7. Baz, if you see the waxwings again, could you ring me? 01982 551667. I’ve never seen one: I went looking for them this morning [2nd] for 2 hours, with no luck. It would be SO useful to have pinpoint instructions to precise locations! Would it be possible, for the sightings further afield, to have an O.S. 6 figure map reference? We old folk don’t have GPS systems – but we’re all likely to have O.S. maps! MANY thanks! Happy New Year!

  8. Hi Susie…..went walking up Elan valley today so no contact with our crested tourist ….but they have been seen at Penybont i.e. 24 so it could easily be the Llandod flock have moved…l will have a look tomorrow Tues if successful will give you a bell and give grid map reference….sorry you were disappointed……Regards and Season greetings to you.

  9. Correction… not Penybont meant x gates.
