Elan.

Today`s offerings include another Water Rail seen and heard calling, possibly 2 birds present at a new site. Single redhead Goosander on Graig Goch, and a male Goldeneye on Penygarreg. On the fields a finch flock of 20 + included mainly Goldfinch, at Troedrhiwdraen farm there were 30 + Fieldfare with 4 Redwing, at Pont ar Elan there were 2 pairs of Stonechat, and at Ciloerwynt there were 100 + Fieldfare. Waterbirds on D y n included 11 Goldeneye, 10 Mallards and a pair of Teal.

At the v c we still have a few berries left on the Rowans, birds feeding today were small numbers of Blackbirds, Mistle Thrush, Goldfinch, Chaffinch and Fieldfare.
