Autumn delights at Elan Valley

The twirling and twittering of thousands of fieldfares, starlings and redwings was delightful to observe today as large flocks filled the valley just below the Graig Goch dam. Heavily laden rowans were being stripped fast of their berries. The birches and oaks glowed gold in the sunshine and the hillsides have turned into warm copper and brass. img_20161026_160541
