Heard a racket and investigated:lovely Tawny being mobbed by various , near the lagoon @ L’dod lake round 11:00 today. Also a Spotted fly near the barbecue stand and several Swifts over.

Great pictures of this beautiful bird….thought they were nocturnal !
Basically you are quite right Heather, but occasionally when they have young they will venture forth , but this one was more likely disturbed roosting by small birds mobbing.
Lovely photograph, owl is very beautiful and it`s so seldom seen in good light. Great one Kev 🙂
