ELAN: Osprey flew in 3-00 pm this afternoon, started to catch fish, (no jewellery seen), bird landing in trees, still present this evening, and roosting in a dead conifer, giving excellent views, we do have days like this Jan, Tess and Ann.

Other Birds: At Craig Goch/Hirnant/Pont ar Elan, 7 Canada Geese, 6 Mallard, 2 pairs of Stonechat, a pair of Peregrine displaying, a few Mippits about, and a Merlin was showing well early morning. On D y n reservoir, 4 Greylag Geese, 3 Goldeneye (2 female and a male), 2 Great Black-backed Gulls (Sunday), looks like the pair of Great Crested Grebe are now one ?, single Heron and a Green Woodpecker calling. Fieldfare 15+ down Claerwen valley along with 2 pairs of Stonechat and a Dipper on the river.
