Tawny Owl

Braving the vagaries of the weather, we dodged the showers and went round L’dod lake at re 14:30 today. 6 chuntering Blackbirds plus sundry tits etc drew our attention to an ivy covered tree near Lakeside-after peering up for several minutes , I finally spotted it : a Tawny owl trying to roost! No chance for a pic sadly.

Back up Cefnllys and visits from Tree creeper, Marsh Tit, LT Tit, Redpoll and 3 Siskins were among the more interesting. The Sprawk also rocketed through._DSC5509_filteredOne way of keeping dry!

What attractive pics, both of them – I also was watching a tree creeper yesterday and wishing I could photograph it, on the green near the Llandodie figure..

Cheers Heather-at least you spotted one in between showers!
