Morning at Pentrosfa Mire 26th Nov 2015

A bit late, I know but life is hectic! Took advantage of the ‘dry slot in the forecast’ and went to the Mire – the Bittern could have been hiding up there.. the nearest I got was a Heron.  Otherwise a good morning: 50+ Brambling flitting about with some Chaffinches, a glimpse of a Water Rail, a pair of Pheasant, 3 red Kite, 150+ Starling, 80+ Snipe (put up by a very low flying RAF jet) and later on a glimpse of a Peregrine, which also put up some of the Snipe. Went home happy!
