grebecoots with carp laughingwheatear juv 1wheatear juv 2spottiegrebe in attack mode

Still quite a lot of Juvenile wheatear in various guises of plumage…also a family of Spotties also up the Rhogo…..I dont quite know what these coots are up to nor does the carp ….looks like he’s having a good laugh about it…. The Grebes are the unfortunate pair who failed…. The male in attack mode reluctant to let the family dad into their territory, hanging around  the failed nest site lakeside avenue reed bed.

Nice set Bazz, shame the carp isn’t in focus, you would have got a gold star !!!

Amazing set – just enlarged them and have spotted the carp – absolutely brilliant, so clear (except the carp – joke), every feather visible in detail in them all !

Cheers all…Of course the photo was meticulously planned… Patiently waiting weeks throwing bread in for the carp to breach just at the right moment…I dont think!!!! First I knew about it was in Photoshop….Yes Steve it would have been something if the carp had been in focus..but with 500mm fully stopped down I doubt at that distance one could realise a foot depth of field. but still fun.
