Long tailed tits are back in the Gorse Farm area, small flocks visiting regularly among the usual customers such as nuthatch, woody, coal tits, marsh tit, a pair of collared doves and the occasional sparrowhawk coming in like a comet. A few starlings too today, not seen them in the garden since last winter’s snowy days. Wood pigeons are notably absent, are they being hunted or are they feeding elsewhere perhaps?
